AI is already changing how people work in medicine, dentistry, law, engineering and finance, and a child who understands it can carry that into almost any career they choose. But it produces confident answers that are wrong, so the children who do well are the ones who can spot the mistakes, question what they are told, and still think for themselves.

The question every parent is asking

“Won’t AI just do the thinking for them?

That is the real risk, and it is the reason this course exists. A child who hands their thinking to a machine gets worse at thinking. A child taught to interrogate it — to check it, catch it, and say exactly where it went wrong — gets better. The difference is entirely in how it is taught.

Verification

Every lesson has the same shape: the machine produces something, and your child has to decide whether it is true. That is the skill the whole course is built around.

Knowing what it is doing

Children learn what AI is actually doing when it answers — guessing the next likely thing — which is why it invents facts, sources and numbers without hesitating, and never warns you.

Judgement over prompting

Prompt tricks expire every few months. Knowing when an answer is wrong does not.

Their own voice

A child who can already write, reason and explain uses AI as a tool. A child who cannot uses it as a substitute. We teach the first, which is why the explain-it rule applies here too.

A child can build something and still not know how it works. When that happens we go back and teach it properly. Nobody is marked down for taking longer, and nothing they made is taken away — but no child is moved on without the part underneath.

Each lesson opens with the machine failing — a wrong answer, a biased result, an invented fact. Children work out why it happened.

A timed challenge. We give them AI answers with errors hidden inside, and they hunt them down. Finding them is the skill we are grading.

Straight answers

Questions parents actually ask.

Will this just teach my child to cheat with AI?+

The opposite. We teach them to check what AI produces, find its mistakes, and use it openly and honestly — which is what schools are asking for.

Does my child need to know coding first?+

For Years 4 to 6, no. From Year 7 the course uses some Python, so children either take our coding class alongside it or start at the foundation stage. Tell us your child's experience and we will place them properly.

Is AI safe for my child to use?+

Used carelessly, no. That is part of why the course exists. We teach what never to share with a chatbot, how to recognise a fake image or video, and why relying on AI for friendship or for homework answers is a bad idea.

Is this just chatbots?+

No. Children train their own models on their own data, watch them succeed and fail, and learn what is really happening underneath. Chatbots are one small part.
