Who teaches your child, and why.

SelectiveCoach was founded by two qualified teachers with broad experience across education and industry.

One founder has 20+ years of teaching experience across public, Catholic and independent schools, as well as experience in finance and adult English/PTE preparation. She is passionate about early-years learning and uses a Montessori-inspired, hands-on approach, helping children understand concepts concretely before moving to abstract methods.

The other founder is a qualified teacher and software engineer with over 20 years of combined experience across teaching and industry, bringing real-world technology knowledge into our AI, coding and game-making programs.

Our approach

We believe good tutoring is not about giving every child the same worksheet.

We identify what a student already knows, where the gaps are and what they need next. Our aim is to build understanding, confidence, problem-solving and independent thinking.

For Selective and OC preparation, we break the tests into specific skills so weaknesses can be targeted directly rather than simply giving students harder questions.

Some classes have limited places. If the one you want is full, we add your child to the waiting list and contact you as soon as a place opens or a new class starts. Fill in the form and we will tell you what is available now.

$595per term · 10 weeks, 2 hours a week

Plus a software subscription for the tools your child uses in class — we will tell you the current cost when you enquire.

There is a discount when a child takes more than one technology course.
